Evey Evison- Headteacher and SENDCO
I love spending time in nature of any type. My main hobby is gig rowing, where I row for Newquay and compete in the World Championships each year in the Isles of Scilly. I also love sea swimming, snorkeling and hunting for cowry shells on Pollyjoke beach.

I am passionate about family, fun and adventure. I love paddleboarding in the sea in summer, skiing the mountains in winter and walking the school dog, Peaches, all-year round. And I occasionally strum a guitar and fix an old Land Rover.

Peaches- the school dog!
I am Peaches, the Mithian School Dog. I live with Mr Faint but love coming to school where I can greet children in the morning, calm dysregulated children and adults and, just occasionally, I join the Celebration Assembly Winners for a Deluxe Hot Chocolate (though I am more partial to a dog biscuit myself.)

I am pleased to be joining Mithian Primary School as a governor. I currently serve as Headteacher at Threemilestone Primary School, within the trust. My professional interests include relational practice, SEND provision, and curriculum development. I believe in the power of positive relationships to drive meaningful change and create inclusive environments where all children can thrive. I have experience in leading whole-school curriculum reform, developing SEND practice, and working closely with governors and trust leaders to improve outcomes for pupils. Growing up in Cornwall, I value the uniqueness of coastal communities and in my spare time, my daughter and I love nothing more than being at the beach and playing in the waves! I am committed to collaborative leadership and continuous professional growth, and I look forward to supporting Mithian Primary School in its continued development.
Ian Thomas- LMC Member and Parent
By day I am a solicitor but for pleasure I am a keen musician, playing the cornet and trumpet. I enjoy pretty much any genre of music. I’m also a part-time (and suffering) golfer and runner/ plodder.
I have one child currently at Mithian School, my eldest having finished in 2024 before moving on to secondary school. Having seen my children enjoy a fabulous start to their learning journey, I’m keen to do what I can to help the school continue from strength to strength.
Laura Greene- LMC Member and Parent
I am pleased to be joining Mithian Primary School as a governor. I am a primary school teacher and also have a child who attends the school, giving me both a professional and personal connection to the Mithian community. My professional interests include early reading, transcription, and curriculum development. I have experience leading a key stage and supporting curriculum development across a multi-academy trust, and I am passionate about creating inclusive, engaging learning experiences where every child can thrive.
When I am not teaching, I can usually be found spending time with my family, creating memories outdoors whenever possible, or taking on the rather ambitious task of renovating our old house! I look forward to working collaboratively with the staff, governors and wider school community at Mithian, sharing my educational experience and supporting the school in ensuring every child has a positive and inclusive learning experience.
